Roots blowers that are vacuums need to get a certain amount of air to keep the rotors cool. So when choosing the size you need, take into consideration the debris you will be working with. Naturally the bigger the material the bigger the hose. One thing to look-out for is the size of the hose. You don’t want to be too big where it becomes hard to handle the hose then to do the actual work.
Remember work smarter not harder.
Too small of a hose will cause your rotors or blower to run hotter which will cause the (roots) blower to run inefficient and cause damage. Its required to have airflow to reach the rotors to keep them cool and less friction during build ups.
